He is a strategic business leader who helps organizations move from ideas to impact and the Founder of XTRM Group—a multidisciplinary advisory firm helping organizations invest, expand, and operate across the Democratic Republic of Congo and Africa.

Mr. Muanda provides strategic direction across XTRM Group’s four (4) business units or core divisions, namely Advisory, Investments, Properties, and Mobility; ensuring the delivery of integrated solutions that support clients in navigating complex markets and achieving sustainable growth. His work focuses on connecting global capital, expertise, and institutions with high-potential opportunities across African markets, with a strong emphasis on the Congo (DRC).

Across his career, David Muanda has built and advised organizations operating in education, business consulting, and social development, with a focus on Africa-centered growth strategies and institutional development.

As Managing Partner, David Muanda leads the strategic development and long-term vision of XTRM Group. He is responsible for:

  • Defining the firm’s strategic direction and market positioning
  • Overseeing integrated client advisory across all four divisions
  • Leading institutional relationships and strategic partnerships
  • Supporting international clients entering African markets
  • Guiding investment, expansion, and development strategies
  • Ensuring alignment between advisory, investment, and execution capabilities

Under his leadership, XTRM Group operates as a unified platform that connects strategy, capital, real estate, and mobility solutions to support clients throughout their business lifecycle.

David Muanda’s leadership philosophy is grounded in long-term thinking, institutional development, and execution-driven strategy.

He believes that sustainable growth in Africa is driven by three essential pillars:

  • Access to structured capital and investment discipline
  • Integrated operational support that enables execution on the ground

His approach emphasizes practical solutions over theoretical models, ensuring that strategy is consistently translated into measurable outcomes.

A former banker, David Muanda has built and advised organizations across education, consulting, and institutional development, with a consistent focus on Africa-centered growth and cross-border collaboration.

His experience includes:

David Muanda holds a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Business Management from Brigham Young University–Idaho.

He has also completed additional studies and professional development in business strategy, organizational leadership, and management.

As a young man, Mr. Muanda served a two-year (2018-2020) voluntary full time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Republic of Kenya.

He is married to Noelly Muanda and has a deep commitment to his family. Together they run the Muanda Foundation, a philanthropic organization that Mr. Muanda founded in 2017, in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Mrs. Muanda is its President, effective May 25, 2025.
