We warmly welcome the Democratic Republic of Congo’s (DRC) official removal from the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) Grey List on October 30, 2026, following four years of enhanced monitoring since October 2022. This important milestone, confirmed at the FATF Plenary held in Paris from October 28 to 30, recognizes the country’s substantial progress in addressing strategic deficiencies in its framework for combating money laundering, terrorist financing, and the financing of proliferation. Having completed its agreed action plan and successfully undergone the required on-site assessment, the DRC has demonstrated meaningful progress in strengthening its financial intelligence capabilities, regulatory supervision, institutional coordination, and enforcement mechanisms.
